Getting on public transport
JR line
From Tokyo
- Nagano-Shinkansen super express is convenient, because it's fast, comfortable, and not so expensive. It's one and half hour from Tokyo to our nearest station; Sakudaira.
- Next get on a bus bound for "Shirakabako". It takes 70 minutes from Sakudaira to "Nishi-Shirakabako". There's only 5 buses to Shirakabako. The departure times are 9:30, 11:10, 13:25, 15:50, and 17:45.
- Then we'll pick you up on our car. So call us after fixing your bus time,
and before getting on it. It takes only 10 minutes to "Allez! Allez!".
From Nagoya, Kyoto, or Osaka
- If you are in between Nagoya and Osaka, check the train schedule. If you
find strait Chuo-West-Line express to Matsumoto or Nagano named "Shinano" in convenient time, take that train. It's the best choice.
- If there's a long interval to next "Shinano", you had better take Tokaido-Shinkansen to Nagoya.
- After arrival at Nagoya, search for "Shinano" again. There are
much more Shinanos starting from Nagoya.
- It's a bit long way to next transfer at Shiojiri;almost 3 hours.
- Get off at Shiojiri, and get on Chuo-East-Line local train toward Shinjuku.
- Get off at Chino and take a bus bound for Kurumayama-Kogen. There is more than one bus in every hour. It takes 60 minutes to Kurumayama-Kogen.
Driving a car
Reaching for Suwa Interchange
If you try to get to "Allez! Allez!" by a car, you had better to take Chuo-Express-Way
until Suwa Interchange. It takes about two hours both from Tokyo and Nagoya.
The way from Suwa Interchange
| As a basic idea, follow the sign of "Shirakabako" or "Lake
Shirakaba"; same meaning. It will lead you most of the way. |
| 1. After you passed the toll gate, turn right at the first crossing. |
2. Go straight for 1.3km, and you will find this sign. Then take left way
to avoid an overpass. Soon turn left at a crossing. |
3. Take Chino-Toll-Road (100yen), and go straight for a while. |
4. Turn left at the point of this photo. The name of this crossing is "Gozaisi-Jinja-Mae",
which means "In front of Gozaisi Shrine". |
5. If you find an overpass above you, turn right just after passing below
it. Just soon turn right again. Then you will be on Daimon-Kaido avenue;
R152. It is a climbing up to Daimon pass via Lake Shirakaba. |
| 6. When you get to Lake Shirakaba, you will find the road is separated
beside the lake. Take left way, and soon you will reach the crossing of
Daimon pass. Then turn left. |
| 7. Soon you will see the toll gate of Venus Line. You have to pay 580yen
here. About 2km from the gate, you will see Kurumayama skiing ground right
side. But care for left side, and you will find the way descending the
hill. Then turn left, and you will get into Kurumayama accommodation area.
It's 2km driving left for "Allez! Allez!".. See the map below. |
